Dave Graff

As the Education Specialist for the Reserve, Dave Graff is responsible for the development and implementation of on-the-water field trip programs. His primary audience is high school and university level science classes. He also provides land-based investigation activities, in-classroom programs, and a host of other educational programs to students of all ages. Dave is also responsible for the collection and care of living specimens on display within the Environmental Learning Center.
A certified Florida Master Naturalist instructor, Dave earned his B.S.C. from the University of Miami in photo-communication and psychology. Before joining the Reserve in 2002, he worked for the Conservancy of SW Florida for five years as a collections specialist, naturalist and environmental scientist. Dave spent four years in the Peace Corps as a health educator and environmental education specialist in São Tomé, West Africa. He has spend most of his adult life in south Florida and enjoys kayaking, bike riding, hiking, camping as well as other outdoor sports.
