Selecting a Kayak
There is no way that you can read enough online to help you select a kayak correctly. In fact, too much time can just leave you confused or misled. If you read on some fishing forum that the Kayakfish1000 doesn’t track worth a darn so you rule that one out, keep these things in mind:
- Each kayak, no matter what size -- sit inside or sit on top -- is going to perform differently based on many factors including but not limited to: your height and weight, your skill level, the body of water it is being paddled on at the time, wind, weather, etc.
- The best thing to do is to stop in the shop first. We are not going to try to sell you an expensive kayak. What we will try to do is help you decide which kayak will best suit your needs based on many factors.
- An average kayak sale in our shop takes about two hours. Of course, there are customers that have paddled or owned a kayak previously and are sure where they want to go for the next level of performance

Kayak prices in our shop run from just over $500 to upwards of $4,000. Keep in mind, kayaks unders this price point are often missing important safety features that come standard on all kayaks we carry. We realize this is a significant investment for many people.
